First Orthodontic Visit

Life is a collection of “firsts,” first steps, first word, the first time you learned how to ride a bike, first time you crashed learning to ride that bike, or the first time you drove a car. Although these are all fantastic turning points, a few of them can leave us feeling worried and anxious. The unknown of orthodontic treatment is always terrifying, especially when you’re not sure what to expect. At Modern Orthodontics, we understand that orthodontic visits and when to being the process are BIG decisions. Selecting to take that first step in the direction of a much healthier, straighter smile might feel overwhelming at first, but the reward is so much brighter!

Your initial FREE orthodontic exam is just one of the many essential first steps of achieving the smile of your dreams. Dr. Alan Wong wants to help with that first step with ease and excitement. One way we do that is recognizing what our new patients’ needs are during the exam. From the initial check-up to the “big reveal” of a beautiful smile; our staff welcomes you with open arms to at one of our three modern, state-of-the-art offices. Dr. Wong & our amazing team strives to make each one of our new patients feel welcomed and comfortable by getting to know you personally! We make every effort to make each of your visits as enjoyable as possible. Fun fact: we are also text capable and welcome you send us a text to conveniently schedule your new patient exam.

Day of your exam:

Once you arrive in our office, you will be greeted by smiling faces who are eager to meet you. They will get you set up on an Ipad where you will digitally complete your new patient paperwork. Following this, our fabulous treatment coordinator will show you to your private exam room where she will learn more about what your orthodontic concerns are. We will take two complimentary X-rays and some photos to aide Dr. Wong in determining the best treatment plan for you. You will then meet Dr. Wong where he will complete a thorough examination and discuss his findings with you. The information we gather from reviewing your dental and medical records, your exam, x-rays & photos will be used together to develop the best treatment plan for you.
